After graduating from Texas Tech University School of Law, Taylor spent a number of years in private practice and working in the oil & gas industry in Amarillo. Taylor joined his father's law practice in 2016. Taylor’s professional background is primarily in oil & gas and real estate law. He advises oil & gas clients of all sizes ranging from publicly traded companies to small independents in issues related to exploration and production activities, particularly in title and transactional matters. Taylor has prepared drilling, division order, and acquisition title opinions covering properties throughout the State of Texas.
Taylor also represents companies and individuals in the buying and selling of mineral producing properties, including drafting purchase agreements, conducting due diligence and title examination, and preparing curative and conveyance instruments.
Taylor also represents agricultural clients in farm and ranch real estate transactions as well as in other issues related to the ownership and operation of farm and ranch properties. In addition, Taylor advises clients on a wide range of general business and corporate matters, including entity formation and governance and business transactions.
Taylor graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2010. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar, the Amarillo Bar Association, and member and Past-President of the Panhandle Association of Petroleum Landmen.
